Aprilia AF1 125 Sport Pro Limited edition 1992 up for sale.
This bike has been restored to its former glory.
The bike was completely re-wired in 2011. The engine has been completely re-built including, new: clutch, con rod, big end and small end bearings, bore coating, spark plug, piston, indicators, brake pads, number plate holder, rear brake master cylinder, battery, rear shock and a set of new Michelin tyres. It has a carbon sports can and is running on fully synthetic racing 2 stroke oil.
The bike is complimented by a complete re-spray in red, white and black. It has newly powder coated white Sintesi wheels (as these look better than the original wheels). It benefits from a mono rear swing arm which looks very good and is a real nice feature, as younger bikes don't have this.
This bike is a limited edition as they only made them for a year, so not many were produced. This model of bike won the 1989, 1990, 1991 and 1992 125 superbike championships. All of today's Aprilia RS 125's are descendants of this bike, but are more tame due to less power. This is a very fast bike, it has 33hp and is learner legal. It starts 1st time every time.
It has had a lot of money spent on it and is a really nice bike. It's a shame to let it go after so much work has gone into it, but due to just finding out I have a fourth child on the way, this one has to go!
As you may know, in the next year or so 2 strokes will no longer be made due to the EU regulations, which means this type of bike will be a thing of the past. So grab yourself a nostalgic piece of history and highly sought after bike.
I haven't got around to fitting the screen yet (which I have in my shed), but I will try and get around to doing this before the auction ends. Also, I haven't got around to re-covering the seats so this will need to be done by yourself (you can buy the kit for around £22.00 on ebay). The bike has no MOT, but is ready to go straight through as nothing needs to be done. This bike is an Italian import and will need to be registered in the UK. I have the Certificate of Origin from Piaggio, who owns Aprilia, for the DVLA to give this bike a age related registration number, rather than it being Q registered.
If you would like to come and view the bike this is not a problem. Just give me a call on this number 07530880755 and ask for Lee.
Genuine buyers please, no tyre kickers.
