This vehicle is a Hybrid - for those of you who dont understand, basically it runs on electric power and petrol thus giving excellent fuel consumption - toyota claim 47mpg - see spec below
While you are driving at low speeds or in heavy trafic the engine automatically uses Electric power stored in huge batteries which charge from your normal driving - when the wheels are turning they are chargeing the batteries - when the batteries are low it switches automatically to the petrol engine mode - simple !! You dont need to plug it in to charge it or anything like that.
This is an ideal family car as it has 8 full size seat with loads of legroom, infact when loaded with kids i can fit our pushchair it the open position between the front and middle seats making it ideal for school runs and shopping etc
It would also make a great Mini cab.
When I was searching for an MPV i found the Estima to have the largest boot space, dont be fooled by seeing photos of others with the seats pushed so close togeter that you cant put your legs down, with comfortable leg room there is still a large load area.
As you can see in the photos the bodywork on this car is pristene, there are a few stonechips but no scratches or dents or rust.
The privacy windows are great for both safety and security
Air conditioning is ice cold
Interior is imaculate too, no stains or tears on the seats.
The middle row of seats fold completly flat to form a bed so its also ideal for long journeys.

he automatic gearbox is very smooth and long journeys are a breeze in comfort and style.

Front and rear parking sensors to protect your bumpers and also a rear facing camera with in dash screen, very handy for reversing.

We had it serviced earlier in the year and there were no problems with it.
Theres a sat nav installed but its not for the UK im not sure if this can be re-programmed.
Very low milage of approx 61000 miles (may increase as in daily use at the moment)
The number plate makes it look like a private plate and many people were convinced that the car was actually brand new when i bought it.
Bad Bits.......
There are none really, if im being very picky there are a few scuffs on the alloy wheels from the previous owner, there is a mark smaller than a pea on one of the seats,.... im actually struggling to think of things here ahh there a few chips in the dashboard where the ignition keys or something has damaged the finish, and thats about it.
Has loads of accesories, wind deflectors on the windows, spoiler , parking sensors , camera to name just a few
It has been professionally fitted with a Cobra Cat 2 imobiliser and comes with the certificate to give to your insurance company to reduce your insurance cost
Only reason for sale is we are thinking of upgrading to a brand new one from Japan.

Toyota announced today the nationwide sales launch in Japan of the completely redesigned Estima Hybrid minivan. (Earlier post.) The new Estima Hybrid offers fuel consumption of 5.0 l/100km (47 mpg US) on the Japanese 10-15 cycle and CO2 emissions of 116 g/km.
Toyota introduced the first Estima Hybrid in 2001 as the world’s first hybrid minivan with the first use of the E-Four (electric four-wheel-drive) system on a mass-production vehicle.
The new Estima Hybrid features an application of Toyota’s THS II system, optimized for use on a minivan, as well as an exhaust heat recovery system that uses thermal energy from the exhaust to heat engine coolant. This reduces engine warm-up time, which enables the engine to shut off earlier when idling, contributing to further improvements in actual fuel economy.
The hybrid powertrain consists of three main elements: the engine, the THS II front motor, and the E-Four rear motor.
The Estima hybrid uses a 2.4-liter engine—the smaller of the two powerplants offered with the redesigned conventional Estima—with enhanced intake and exhaust systems and enhanced engine control to increase engine speed and reduce friction for higher maximum output and better fuel efficiency. The engine delivers 110 kW (147 hp) of power and 190 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm.
The front motor offers 105 kW peak output and is coupled with a speed reduction gear to amplify torque. With the speed reduction gear, the front motor delivers maximum torque of 270 Nm.
The rear E-Four motor offer maximum output of 50 kW and maximum torque of 130 Nm. The E-Four motor assists the engine and front motor as needed and continuously optimizes the allocation of power between the front and rear wheels. The Estima hybrid offers an all-electric mode.
A 245V NiMH battery pack provides the energy storage. The variable voltage system of the power control unit uses a booster circuit to increase the voltage supplied from the battery to the motors from 245V to 650V, increasing the power output of the front and rear motors. The battery pack is mounted within the center console, enabling versatile seat arrangements, equivalent to those of a regular gasoline-engine Estima, and a comfortable interior space.
Emissions of both NOx (oxides of nitrogen) and NMHC (non-methane hydrocarbons) are 75% lower than the 2005 standards under the Approval System for Low-emission Vehicles.
