This is a motorhome that requires work on the roof to combat a damp problem, or the continually resealing of the top edge moldings and sky light, hence the reduced price. Otherwise it is a comfortable van for two with the capability of two extra children above the cab.
The extras with the van are - Substantial awning with safari room - Full winter cover - Siver Screen winscreen cover - Portable Satelite ariel - Water carrier - There is also some crockery and cutlery - A tow bar is fitted but never used for towing - a bicycle carrier (tow bar fitting) - Electric hook up cable - 2 x 6Kg Propane gas bottles - Air ride system - CD Multi changer (10 CDs) - 13 amp briefcase solar panel - table - swivel table.
Fittings and fixtures include gas and electric water heater - gas and electric heater - full cooker - full size fridge with small freezer compartment - steps to over cab bunks - Shower / sink / casette toilet.
I have had the van damp tested by three independent caravan/camper repairers who have all confirmed that the damp is confined to the roof and is repairable, as a quick fix for a few hundred pounds up to a full new roof for couple of thousand pounds. The walls are bone dry. When you consider that two similar aged and model vans are for sale in excess of £1600 - this makes a bargain for some one who wants to take it on.
In 2010 I had everthing removed from the roof to try and eliminate the problem and a new cross tread piece of alluminium laid, this has partially solved the problem.
If I had the funds I would get the repairs done as we are still using it and will continue to do so until sold or otherwise.
The camper is based on a Fiat Ducato 2800 Jtd.
