Premier Houseboats are pleased to present this converted barge. Built in 1910 this barge was originally sail but is now powered by an original (although refurbished)Lister JP2 engine with new shaft and new propeller. Sides are of Cromweld (S.African stainless steel) Although converted to a spacious liveaboard she still retains some of her original features, including tiller steering. There is an engine room, workshop, two toilets, lounge with galley comprising of 2 burner hob with oven and grill, stainless steel sink and drainer, double bedroom with ensuite toilet and shower and also office space in the original crews quarters. Heated by gas central heating she also has a wood/coal burning stove. She was spray foam insulated when converted. Originally used on the Dearne and Dove canal she was also used as a trip boat on the Sheffield canal. Believed to be the last one left out of six built for use on the Dearne and Dove.
