Traditional 30 foot canal narrowboat with mooring. It's 4 berth with a fridge, 2 ring gas cooker with grill and oven, coal/wood burning stove, which warms the boat through even on the coldest days. Shower room with porta potti. The bed arrangement is - the seat you see opposite the TV folds out into a double bed. This is the "warm end" ideal for winter as it's nearest the fire. The other bed folds out of the wall near the shower. A cupboard door near the sink opens and divides the boat in two, this gives some privacy to the two beds if both are in use or keeps the heat in the "warm end" if you're snuggling down in there in winter. If you look at the shot towards the rear you can see a cupboard with two brass knobs. This folds out and makes the second double bed. This end of the boat is cooler and best for these summer months.

Boat is powered by 2 cylinder Vetus diesel engine. Kept clean and in good working condition.

There's plenty of storage space on board. I have with a complete history file with photos of Owlet being built and the maiden voyage. There's the original brochures for all fixtures and fittings. The boat has been little used by me for sailing but I've spent a lot of time living there. I've had it since late 2005 and I'm still on the same tank of diesel! I just fire her up on a weekly basis and let her turn over and warm through.

It's moored next to the previous owner so he is available for any questions also. The mooring is also directly opposite the pub, surely a bonus! The safety certificate and licence were renewed recently. The batteries are new and still under guarantee. Starter motor has been recently refurbished with receipt as proof and I've also fitted 2 new heater plugs.

I was talking to Owlets previous owner about selling her. I commented on how the paintwork looked "matt". He assured me it was "A very expensive paint job" and advised that I "t-cut" it to bring back it's original lustre. I haven't time to do the entire boat before the end of the listing but I did some tonight (in the baking heat) and I can assure you she will come up as glossy as the day it was painted. I'll leave that job though for Owlets new owner when he or she takes over.

The Safety Certificate expires 17/08/2012. The boat licence (British Waterways version of a road tax disc) is valid until 09/09.

It was built/manufactured in 1990 by Mick Sivewright Boats.

Much loved victim of the credit crunch. An ideal first or stopgap home or for touring hols.

No outstanding loans or credit on this boat. HPI checks welcome.
